The people behind MBA

Chuck Allen and Andrew Sheridan, founders of Mindful Business Alliance
Chuck Allen, CPCC | MCC

Chuck Allen

CPCC | MCC

Chuck brings a rare combination to leadership development: the operational mindset of a seasoned entrepreneur and the depth of a Master Certified Coach. Before coaching, he worked across public health education, journalism, and IT consulting — with his tech career centered in the entertainment industry, where he witnessed firsthand the best and worst of organizational culture. That background gives him a grounded, no-nonsense approach that leaders trust.

Chuck holds the MCC designation through the International Coach Federation and is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC). He is a Senior Corporate Faculty member of the Co-Active Training Institute, a past President of the ICF Los Angeles Chapter, and served for more than 15 years as an Executive Coach for the Executive MBA Program at Loyola Marymount University.

His work spans non-profit, aerospace, medicine, technology, chemistry, and civil service — and for the past decade has been heavily focused in Asia, where he has delivered coaching and leadership solutions to multinational organizations across the region. He created and rolled out a sales and customer service excellence program across 10 countries on four continents.

Chuck maintains a genuine passion for cognitive science and positive psychology, and brings those research-backed insights directly into his coaching and training work. He believes good leadership is both a practice and a discipline — and that the two are inseparable.

Andrew Sheridan

CPCC | MCC

Andrew is a Master Certified Coach (MCC) and Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC), holding the ICF’s highest coaching designation — a distinction held by fewer than 4% of coaches globally. He is a founding partner of several international firms specializing in organizational development and change management, and a two-time President of the ICF Luxembourg Chapter.

Andrew’s path to leadership development was anything but conventional. After a decade in international banking — as a relationship manager and Vice President of Sales for Benelux at Bankers Trust and Deutsche Bank — he left the corporate world in 2007 to study social science, psychology, and management theory at the Australian College of Applied Psychology. That pivot shaped everything that followed.

Today he brings nearly 30 years of experience across finance, adult education, and leadership development. He is a senior member of the CTI faculty, delivering coach training globally in English and French, and is part of Google’s Internal Mastery Faculty Team. He is also certified in the Leadership Circle 360 Profile and is a Team Diagnostic Assessment Facilitator for Team Coaching International.

Born and raised in Luxembourg, Andrew has lived and worked across Europe, Australia, and Asia Pacific. Fluent in French, with working knowledge of German, he is currently based in Hong Kong and spends much of his time in Singapore, where he manages both the Co-Active and MBA offices.

They’re wondering if joy and ease are possible. If there are better ways to grow. Before coaching, she was in fast-paced technology companies for 15 years. She built products and teams from scratch. She transformed cultures and organizations.

Bruce is originally from the UK but has been living in Malaysia since 2018 where he enjoys the all-year-round sunshine and all the varieties of Malaysian food. He spent 20 years in the oil and gas industry leading operational teams, and in 2018 retrained as a coach to fulfill his passion for working with people (rather and than oils and gasses). He works today as a coach and facilitator, and when he’s not doing that he spends time at his piano or singing in choirs.

Charlotte Teo Charlotte TeoCPCC | ACC

Charlotte is a certified Co-Active coach, fractional CMO, and workshop facilitator based in Singapore. She didn’t arrive at coaching because she had it all figured out — she arrived because she didn’t, and Co-Active training was the thing that changed that. Her work, in any room, comes down to the same thing: help people see what’s already there — they just hadn’t noticed yet. She coaches women navigating big transitions, works with brands on who they actually are, and asks a lot of questions for a living. She is, in fact, certified to do so.

Claire Wong Claire WongCPCC | PCC

Claire is a certified coach and trainer whose career has taken her from 29 years in banking — leading teams and steering organizations through change — to helping leaders and professionals lead with greater clarity and purpose. As a trainer, she loves to read the energy of a room and adapts to create spaces where people feel stretched yet safe to learn and grow. As a coach, she is empowering and challenging in equal measure, holding space for her clients while pushing them beyond their comfort zones. Her passion for making a difference also extends to causes close to her heart, facilitating suicide prevention workshops and running an ovarian cancer support group. You’ll find her recharging through walks in nature, reconnecting with herself and the world around her.

Joey Ra Joey RaCPCC | PCC

Joey coaches leaders across Southeast Asia, especially drawn to men in influential positions who want to use their power and privilege in a way other than the one they were handed. He arrived here by an unlikely route: a biochemistry degree, then years in executive pay consulting in London, before he left to do work that meant more. In Phnom Penh he founded the Cambodia Coaching Institute, training the country’s first professional coaches, and he runs a functional fitness gym called The Weighting Room. He doesn’t treat the scientific, the physical, and the spiritual as separate questions. He takes the work seriously and is quick to laugh at himself. Underneath it all is a belief in strength held with love.

Zaf Djabri Zaf DjabriCPCC | PCC

Zaf’s career trajectory has been an unusual one, crossing academia, consulting, banking, and organizational transformation over the last 25 years.

Despite a very analytical education, the recurring theme he discovered as a leader was his curiosity for people and what makes them tick, individually and in groups. He’s deeply fascinated by the intersection between the scientific and the humanistic approaches to helping people reach the potential.

Now certified as both a coach and a psychotherapist, he feels very lucky to be able to follow what he feels is his true calling.
